PCC Partners with World Record Holder Tommy Cherry

We’re excited to announce a new partnership between the Parsippany Cube Club and Tommy Cherry, one of the most accomplished blindfolded speedcubers in the world.

Tommy is currently ranked #1 in the world for 3×3 Blindfolded single and average by the World Cube Association. His 11.56-second blindfolded solve, achieved right here in New Jersey on June 28, 2026, set the Guinness World Record for the fastest 3×3×3 blindfolded solve. He also holds a 14.05-second blindfolded average, tied for the Guinness World Record.

For those unfamiliar with blindfolded cubing, competitors first memorize the entire scrambled cube, put on a blindfold, and then solve it completely from memory. Doing that in under 12 seconds takes an extraordinary combination of speed, memorization, technique, and years of practice.

Tommy has competed in more than 100 official WCA competitions and has accumulated hundreds of podium finishes throughout his cubing career. Beyond blindfolded solving, he is an elite speedcuber across numerous events and has become one of the most recognizable competitors in the blindfolded cubing community.

So what does this partnership mean for PCC?

Our goal at Parsippany Cube Club has always been bigger than simply teaching people how to solve a Rubik’s Cube. We want to give young cubers opportunities to learn, compete, improve, and connect with some of the best people in the sport.

Partnering with Tommy is a huge step toward that goal.

Through this partnership, we hope to bring new opportunities and experiences to the PCC community, especially for cubers who want to take their solving to the next level. We’ll be sharing more details about what’s coming soon.

We’re incredibly excited to welcome Tommy Cherry as an official partner of the Parsippany Cube Club and to see what we can build together.

This is just the beginning. Stay tuned.
